A popular Bermuda hotel has opened a second location in Austin.

Since 2017, Bermuda has been home to the boutique hotel The Loren at Pink Beach. On October 20, The Loren Hotels and Residences brand expanded to the United States with the opening of The Loren at Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas. This new eight-story hotel is situated right on the lake, offering direct access to parks and recreational trails, and is just a short drive from downtown Austin.

The Loren at Lady Bird Lake features 108 stylish rooms and suites designed by Fleur-de-lis Interior Design. Each room provides lake and city views, sophisticated modern furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling windows. The luxurious bathrooms are equipped with natural stone, walk-in spa showers, plush bathrobes, SFERRA towels, and Malin+Goetz products. The one and two-bedroom suites offer additional space and panoramic views of Lady Bird Lake. The Loren Suite and Premier Suite include balconies with views of either Lady Bird Lake, downtown Austin, or the Texas Hill Country.

Guests can visit the eighth floor to dine at the signature restaurant Nido, which blends the rugged charm of the area with coastal European culinary techniques. Executive Chef Brad McDonald serves dishes such as kabocha squash beignets, ricotta gnudi, and beef short rib with polenta, which can be enjoyed at outdoor seating overlooking Lady Bird Lake.

The hotel also boasts a 5,000-square-foot spa called milk + honey, featuring 10 treatment rooms and a full range of spa and med spa treatments. Additional amenities include a rooftop terrace with an infinity pool and a 24/7 fitness center.

Local art and design are prominently featured throughout the property. In the lobby, Liam Gillick’s wall sculpture and Sarah Braman’s repurposed chairs with glass cubes change with the exterior light, creating dynamic reflections and refractions. Olafur Eliasson’s color wheels in the restaurant pay homage to Austin’s Ellsworth Kelly Chapel. In the guest rooms, Karl Blossfeldt’s photographs of plants resembling ornamental ironworks highlight the connection between natural forms and art and architecture.
